Prior to the creation of the Blue Springs EDC in January 2007, Sher was employed by the City of Blue Springs Economic Development Department for 8 years. Her experience and background allow Sher to more fully support the business community and assist them with City processes, contacts, and understanding of community development requirements. Sher’s duties involve a major priority for the EDC in managing and leading local business outreach programs to generate business expansion and retention, and support the long-term growth of local employers. She also attracts, grows and retains the investor base. She holds the Business Retention & Expansion International Project Coordinator certification and the Business Retention Expansion Professional designation. Sher’s accomplishments include but aren’t limited to a 2009 Partnership Award with the Full Employment Council, published in the 2007 Metropolitan Who’s Who and a partial list of who she is a liaison to include: City of Blue Springs, KC Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Jackson County Development Alliance, Missouri Department of Economic Development.
